Home > Duplo Worldwide > Group History 1950 November   Koyo Bussan Corporation was established in Osaka.     1951 September   Koyo Bussan Corporation changed its company name to Sano-sha Corporation.     1956 May   Nisshin Seiko Corporation (the predecessor of Duplo Corporation) was established in Tokyo.     1958 September   Sano-sha Corporation changed its company name to Osaka Duplo Corporation.     1959 January   Nisshin Seiko Corporation changed its company name to Duplo Seizo Corporation ( the predecessor of Duplo Corporation).   Osaka Duplo Corporation changed its company name to Duplo Corporation Limited (Osaka).   1960 January   Duplo Seizo's sales satellite office in Nagoya became independent company, Duplo Sales Corporation Limited.   Duplo Corporation (Fukuoka) was established.     1961 December   Duplo Seizo's sales satellite office in Takamatsu became independent company Duplo Corporation Limited (Takamatsu).   1972 February   Duplo Taiwan Corporation was established.     1973 August   Duplo Seiko Corporation was established in Wakayama.     1979 September   Duplo USA Corporation was established.   1982 March   Duplo Manufacturing Corp Korea Limited was established.     1985 December   Duplo International Limited was established.   1990 October   Duplo Seizo Corporation changed its company name to Duplo Corporation.     1994 August   Duplo Corporation Limited (Tokyo) was established.     1997 August   Duplo (Thailand) Limited was established.   2000 November   The 50th anniversary of the foundation of Duplo Corporation Limited (Osaka) .     2002 November   Duplo Seiko opened Morioka Office.     2003 January   Duplo Corporation Head Office moved from Komae to Sagamihara.
